ROSEMONT’S MOTTO
Serving the Lord, family style
 
ROSEMONT’S PUROSE STATEMENT
In His grace and great mercies, the Lord Jesus Christ is leading this local family of believers, Rosemont Baptist Church, into a loving relationship with Him and each other for the purpose of worshiping Him, making and growing disciples, and proclaiming His good news of eternal salvation to the lost and dying world around us through acts of service and ministering to needs of people, giving Him all the honor and glory.
 
ROSEMONT’S OBJECTIVES
  To love our Heavenly Father with all that we are, and loving one another in Christian fellowship, just as Jesus Christ loved us. Matthew 22:37-40; Romans 5:8; John 13:34-35, 15:12, 17; 1 John 4:7-11
 
  To be a worshiping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, continually seeking and coming to Him in prayer, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His leadership, using the Holy Scriptures as our standard. Exodus 3:14-15; Psalm 46:10, 139, John 4:23-24, 14:15; Acts 17:11, 24-28; Ephesians 6:18; Colossians 1:3, 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Hebrews 4:12-16; 10:24-25, 11:6; James 4:8; 1 John 4:16
 
   To be a church filled with the Holy Spirit, empowered by Him to bring the message of repentance and the good news of eternal salvation by the forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and faith in Him to as many people as possible in our church, community, and throughout the world, bringing new believers into His fellowship. Matthew 4:17, 28:18-20; John 3:14-17, 14:6, 16:13; Acts 1:8, 4:12; Romans 10:8-13; Ephesians 2:8-9; 5:18, 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 2:1-2; Revelation 1:5.
 
  To be a discipling church, helping people experience a growing knowledge of God though His Word, fostering a closer daily walk with Jesus, growing in an ever increasing likeness of Him. Proverbs 1:7; Micah 6:8; Romans 12:1-2, 15:14; Philippians 3:8-14; 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 1:5-8
 
  To be a benevolent church, caring for the widows and orphans, the sick and disabled, and those suffering spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and economic hardships. Isaiah 1:16-17; Matthew 25:34-40; Galatians 6:10; 1 Timothy 5:3-16; James 1:27; 1 John 3:17-19
 
  To be a church that ministers unselfishly to people in our community, our country, and around the world in Jesus' name, being faithful in the opportunities God graciously gives us. Matthew 5:16, 9:36-38; Mark 9:41, 10:43-45; John 13:3-17; Ephesians 2:10; James 2:14-17
